About the Founder
My name is Andrew, and I founded Automation History after spending more than a decade working in industrial automation, manufacturing, robotics, maintenance, and operations leadership.
Throughout my career, I have worked with advanced automated systems, led technical teams, and helped improve equipment reliability and operational performance. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation not only for modern technology but also for the generations of inventors, engineers, and innovators whose ideas made today's automated world possible.
The more I learned about automation, the more I realized that many of the most influential inventors and engineering achievements receive little recognition outside of academic circles. I created Automation History to help preserve their stories and connect the technologies of the past with the innovations shaping our future.
